Danny Brown is an urban planner with over a decade of experience in shaping cities, building communities, and protecting and conserving our public green spaces. He currently works for Parks and Recreation at the City of Toronto as a Project Officer, Waterfront for the Park Design, Strategic Projects team. Working closely with Waterfront Toronto, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, CreateTO, and multiple City divisions, he helped deliver Biidaasige Park on behalf of the City and continues to contribute to the parks and public space planning and delivery aspects of the ongoing revitalization of the Port Lands.”   Biidaasige Park – City of Toronto July 7, 2025 – Biidaasige Park, pronounced “bee-daw-si-geh” and meaning “sunlight shining toward us” in Anishinaabemowin, is located near Cherry Street on the island of Ookwemin Minising, meaning “place of the black cherry trees.”   For more information contact leaside@gardenontario.org or 416-422-0538
