US National Arboretum

US National Arboretum

Permanent reference collection of over 800,000 specimens of dried pressed plants for scientific studies in agriculture, horticulture, botany, medicine, and other related fields. Contains plants from around the world, with a special emphasis on cultivated plants. Especially well represented groups include azaleas, cherries , daffodils, daylilies, hollies, oaks, viburnums, and willows.

Zilker Botanical Garden is nestled within Zilker Metropolitan Park in the heart of downtown Austin. Our themed gardens including the Taniguchi Japanese Garden, Hartman Prehistoric Garden, and Rose Garden, are all interconnected with pathways for all ages and abilities. With heritage live oaks, streams, and Koi-filled ponds, the Garden offers a peaceful respite.
