In 1745, the King of France, Louis XV, requested Jacques Philippe Mareschal design the gardens. Situated at the location of ancient remains, this is Europe’s first public garden featuring a classic 18th century garden and a mediterranean garden. 

A listed site around a castle covered with slate from the beginning of the 19th century , the romantic and picturesque gardens of Marqueyssac offer more than 6 kilometers of walks lined with 150,000 century-old hand-cut box trees and decorated with belvederes, rock gardens, wooden huts, dry stone.

Au-delà des jardins proprement dits, s’étend le Parc qui les prolonge naturellement grâce, notamment, à deux immenses pièces d’eau : le Grand Canal et la pièce d’eau des Suisses.

The Garden of Vaux-le-Vicomte is organized around a brilliantly controlled perspective , more than three kilometers long. By composing the staging of the castle and its setting in the space of 33 hectares cut in the heart of nature,  André Le Nôtre and Louis le Vau achieve the most perfect harmony between architecture and landscape of the entire 17th century . The strength and nobility of its overall design, the abundance of water and surprises and its theatrical majesty make the garden of Vaux-le-Vicomte the founding work of a new art, that of French gardens. . They also make this theater an invitation to knowledge, imagination and pleasure.

The neo-futurist Jardins d’Étretat extend over the cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre, one of the wonders of Normandy with a view listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gardens are part of a set of volumes in topiary where the landscape, contemporary art, and architecture dialogue in all poetry.

The Château has boasted gardens since the Renaissance from the 16th century, French in the 18th century and transformed into a landscaped park in the 19th century, the gardens of Villandry, which were redesigned by Joachim Carvallo in the early 20th century, are an original creation blending tradition and innovation.

Since its public opening in 1933, the Exotic Garden of Monaco has stayed totally unique. It gathers, outdoor, in a prestigious setting, a big variety of plants called “succulent”. Built on the cliff-side, the Exotic Garden offers a breathtaking view of Monaco where you discover succulent plants with extravagant shapes.
