Angela Cen

Before immigrating to Canada from China, Angela was a medical university teacher in Shanghai. Inspired by her mother, she has always had a passion for gardening. Over the years, she has grown everything from vegetables to houseplants. Since she often travels, Angela looked for low-maintenance plants, which led her to discover the world of succulents.

At first, she thought they were easy to care for, but quickly learned that wasn’t always true—many of her first succulents didn’t survive. Determined to do better, she dived into learning through YouTube, online courses, and hands-on experience. Over time, Angela realized that succulents, like people, each have their own personality and needs. With the right care, they reward us with beauty, resilience, and surprises.

Now, growing and designing with succulents has become a big part of her life, and she love’s sharing what she has learned. Angela is excited to meet everyone and talk about these amazing plants!
