Poisonous Plants in Ontario presented with Leslie Hockley, Lead Horticulturalist at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Ontario is home to many poisonous plants that are harmful to human health. Learn how to identify toxic plants, what to do if you come in contact with them, and how to get rid of them safely. Everyone welcome.
Presenter – Leslie Hockley
TBG’s Lead Horticulturalist, Leslie Hockley has nearly ten years of horticulture industry experience. Her expertise ranges from garden and lawn maintenance to nursery production, annual design, and tree care. She is passionate about public gardens and plant records. She’s interned at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Colorado and most recently she’s worked as a Plant Records and Mapping Technician at the University of British Columbia’s Botanical Garden. Leslie studied horticulture at Humber College and at the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture.
