Ottawa Orchid Society March

Join us for our March meeting to hear Terry Kennedy tell us how to build a winning display.  Members are encouraged to display their orchids at Orchidophilia, the OOS Orchid Show and Sale on April 26 and 27, 2025.  Terry will show you how to prepare and build your display from the ground up.  It is not as difficult as you think, but there are some key points that judges look for at the show.

Terry owns Orchids in our Tropics with her husband, and has been growing, breeding and showing orchids for almost a half century. She is an AOS judge, currently Head of the Toronto Judging Centre and the Secretary of the American Orchid Society.  She has won many awards for her displays at many venues, including the World Orchid Congress.

The meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Our in-person meeting is back in Hall F at the Nepean Sportsplex this month. We will have the usual Show Table, raffle and refreshments with a break to chat with your Growing Together” leaders and visit our “Ask Me Anything” experts.  Members, please bring your plants to the show table by 1:40 pm to allow time for judging.
