We are pleased to welcome Stephanie Gorrill, a licensed psychotherapist, Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and wellness consultant based in Lethbridge, as the facilitator for this unique Mezame session exploring the therapeutic power of haiku poetry. Blending her clinical expertise with a deep appreciation for poetry, Stephanie offers a calming and expressive experience that aligns beautifully with the tranquil setting of Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. Haiku’s focus on nature, observation, and seasonal awareness reflects the essence of Japanese culture and resonates deeply with the changing landscape of our garden.
In This Session, Participants Will:
Explore expressive therapy through the lens of traditional haiku
Cultivate mindfulness and emotional reflection
Deepen their connection to nature and self through poetry
Enjoy a peaceful, introspective hour in a serene and supportive setting
Attendees should bring paper, notebooks, or other materials to assist with journaling during this class.
