If you are not a member of a garden club or horticultural society, consider joining one or more of them. Throughout the summer, almost every society or club organizes exciting, exclusive members-only events, including socials (sometimes wine even flows!), garden tours, organized visits to botanical gardens, organized city tours, visits to member gardens, and so on. These are great events to always learn more, develop friendships and community, get a fresh perspective on many gardening approaches, experience garden art, get plant ideas, and see the truly creative things that many members have done.
