Growing Native Plants from Seed

Event Details

Growing native plants from seed is a cheap and easy way to add plants to your garden.

Growing native plants from seed is a cheap and easy way to add plants to your garden – but you need to start early! Many native plants require several months of cold temperatures to sprout in the spring. Join this session to learn where to get your seed and how to sow it over the winter for germination in the spring. At the end of the program, native seeds will be given out to attendees, while supplies last.

This program is part of TPL’s Our Fragile Planet program series, generously supported by Friends of Toronto Public Library, South Chapter.

About the presenter: Toronto Master Gardeners have been advising and helping solve problems for Toronto gardeners since January 1988. Toronto Master Gardeners have successfully completed university horticultural studies and must meet ongoing continuing education requirements to make sure that advice to gardeners is based on current horticultural knowledge.

Registration Required. To register, please call 416-396-8890 or speak to staff at the library.
