The Night Garden evening performances introduce an interpretive storytelling experience of music, water, and lighting create a magical theatrical experience. Whistling Gardens is the first in Canada to use special computerized pumps to create dazzling effects.  The computerized musical fountain program is likely the largest in the country! 

SHOP! The rare, beautiful and one of a kind and ornamental plants can be found at the garden centre which also features local artisan works.

The Music – AriaWorks – Darren Heimbecker

Darren Heimbecker – Composer, Fountain Light Design and Choreography Merited Composer and fountain light designer, Darren Heimbecker is available for musical composition and fountain lighting design, sequencing and choreography. Over the years, many musical recordings continue to be developed in collaboration with Canadian and international music industry professional musicians that have a respect and understanding of the new world music genre. Talents include; Pedro Eustache (Yanni, Hans Zimmer) the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra along with many credited professional musicians across Canada. Compositions are available in a variety of musical instrumental styles, with a focus on integrating old world sounds and instruments with modern day technology. Several commissioned works have been composed for the Trans Canada Trail Relay Foundation, which was recognized with a Medal of Merit from the former Deputy Prime of Canada, several documentary vignettes, national figure skating competitions and existing shows at Whistling Gardens Ltd. AriaWorks is available for sequencing music and light/special effects and choreography. Specializations include working with MIDI to CV, MIDI to DMX and DMX and various controllers to smoothly run an entire world class show through one program.

Since 2012, we have garnered regional, provincial, national, and international awards and are home to North America’s largest peony collection, North America’s largest conifer collection, and one of Canada’s largest computer-run fountain shows. Stroll and explore over 20 acres of gardens displaying over 4,500 different plants, including the rarest tree in the world, the Baishan Fir.
