Crevice Garden – Trip to South Africa

Crevice Garden – Trip to South Africa

About This Event

This talk is by two members Tony and Annie.  Tony will present the construction of his first rock garden at his home.

Visiting gardens in South Africa had long been a dream for me especially since watching Monty Don's programme on South African gardens.  South Africa covers all the bases - climate, mountains, sea, geology, wildlife, and flora.  It ranks at the top for global plant biodiversity with 10% of the world's flowering species. The Cape Floral Kingdom in the South has more than 23,000 species with high rates of endemism - plants that grow nowhere else in the world.
