Christmas Party & Potluck Dinner

Christmas Potluck, AGM & Seasonal Demonstration. Elysia Harvey of Emerald Grove Designs will demonstrate a seasonal design.

When teaching a workshop or demonstration I usually like to follow a bit of a theme. Since I often promote using materials that are in season and grown locally as much as possible, I though to call this session “Savour the Season, Support the Cycle”.

I will be demonstrating how we can use seasonal greenery as well as showcase what treasures (seed pods, branches, berries, etc.) may be left in our gardens after the typical growing season to make a beautiful arrangement. I will also be incorporating a few novelty “extras” (perhaps roses for example) to add a bit of elegance to this holiday arrangement. The point being to squeeze as much out of our gardens as possible – with wonderful results!
