Join David Hinks, Master Gardener for this introductory workshop where you will learn about the climate and soils of Ottawa, which vegetables grow best here, and how to grow them.

David Hinks is a passionate vegetable gardener with decades of experience.  One of the major themes in his workshops for gardeners is empowering people to grow their own food in a sustainable way.  David is very involved in issues related to food security and with the Lanark County Food Bank he has createdf a number of Community gardens in  Carleton Place, Almonte and Pakenham.
