WHERE: Meet at Building 72 in the Arboretum at the Central Experimental Farm, east of the Prince of Wales roundabout
New trees and shrubs are constantly being planted at the Dominion Arboretum as other trees die for various reasons, including pests and disease. Some of the new plants are of the same species as those that are being replaced, for the sake of consistency and to explore longevity in our climate, but in other cases it is determined that those species will not do well at this time (such as ash trees). So there are new species and variants that are appearing from time to time. Come and see a sample of these new kids on the block!
Attendance is limited to 20 to enable physical distancing.
Tour leader: Owen Clarkin
Although the tours are free and open to the public, you must register in advance.
