FREE Create a Bird-Friendly Yard Seminar
About This Event
Time: 1:00pm
Transform your outdoor space into a thriving haven for birds and other wildlife using native plants and simple, eco-friendly gardening practices.
In this presentation, long-time gardener and wildlife enthusiast Berit Erickson will share how she turned her own urban yard into a lively habitat for migratory and local birds. You’ll learn practical ways to:
-
Provide natural food sources such as seeds, berries, and insects.
-
Create shelter and nesting sites for different species.
-
Offer clean water using birdbaths or small water features.
-
Keep your yard safe from common hazards to birds.
Since 2017, Berit has been transforming her boulevard garden, hedgerows, mini meadow, pocket forest, and stream feature into a flourishing ecosystem that attracts birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. She now volunteers with Fletcher Wildlife Garden, Pinhey Sand Dunes, and Wild Pollinator Partners, inspiring others to reimagine their own yards as vibrant wildlife sanctuaries.
