SOIL AMENDMENTS ARE MATERIALS ADDED TO SOIL TO IMPROVE ITS PHYSICAL PROPERTIES, STRUCTURE AND FERTILITY, ULTIMATELY ENHANCING PLANT GROWTH AND HEALTH. THESE MATERIALS CAN BE ORGANIC OR INORGANIC AND ARE USED TO ADDRESS ISSUES LIKE POOR DRAINAGE, WATER RETENTION, NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES AND Ph IMBALANCES. LYNNE EVENSON, MASTER GARDENER WILL EXPLAIN SOIL EMENDMENTS, THEIR BENEFITS AND WHEN TO USE THEM.
