The gardens showcase a variety of sizes, approaches and styles.Gardeners will be on site to answer questions and give advice. There are elaborate perennial beds, Japanese gardens, native plantings, mixed ornamental vegetable and flower gardens and water features. These private gardens are in inner urban clusters, located fairly close to each other enabling some to walk between.

At Abbotsford house there will be a flea market of garden items, crafts and a cafe. A plant sale will happen in Old Ottawa South.
