Itinerary summary:

Depart from the GTA and stop at the landscaped Champs de Rêve before spending the night in Old Quebec City. Next day, visit Domaine Doly de Lotbinière – a well-situated romantic 19th century park, “one of the most beautiful gardens in North America” – and then pass the night in Rimouski. On day 3, visit Reford gardens, a 200-acre national historic site – additionally featuring exhibits from the International Garden Festival. Lunch included. Head back towards Quebec city by way of La Jardin de la Pocatiere, a public hillside botanical garden with ponds, waterfalls, and scenic lookouts. Next day, head east to see Parc Marie Victorin with a bird-filled tropical greenhouse, as well as the private Jardins Vivaces de Fernand, a landscaped garden of more than four acres, including rockeries, an aquatic garden, and a Japanese garden. On the fifth and final day, head back to Toronto, but stop by the world-renowned Montreal Botanical Gardens on the way, which has 10 exhibition greenhouses and more than two dozen gardens, as well as a fleet of researchers.
