Mexican Association of Botanical Gardens meet in Vallarta

On April 12 and 13, the Vallarta Botanical Garden received a visit from the Mexican Association of Botanical Gardens (AMJB), represented by its member Mรณnica Rivas, who is also director of the neighboring Haravรฉri Botanical Garden, as well as Salvador Arias, director of the UNAM Botanical Garden, Josรฉ Viccon, secretary of the AMJB, and Mario Hernรกndez, director of the Charco del Ingenio Botanical Garden and president of the AMJB. This visit is part of the accreditation process for this important association, of which the Vallarta Botanical Garden has been a part since 2011.

Our commitment as a botanical garden is focused on continuing to improve our conservation efforts, environmental education, and biodiversity research.

We would like to take this opportunity to share the First Circular of the XXXVII Annual Meeting and Ordinary Assembly of the Mexican Association of Botanical Gardens, with the motto โ€œThe influence of Botanical Gardens on society to improve the management of their territory,” which will be held from August 27 to 31, 2024, at the Haravรฉri Botanical Garden, San Sebastiรกn del Oeste, Jalisco.
