Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens has a world-renowned rose garden, which boasts over 2,400 roses across 65 cultivars.This extensive collection makes it one of North America’s most distinguished Victorian rose gardens, offering visitors a sensory delight of colors and fragrances during the blooming season.

Spanning 99 acres (40 hectares), the gardens also feature an impressive arboretum, showcasing one of Canada’s finest collections of ornamental trees and shrubs. Visitors can explore diverse themed areas, including formal parterre gardens, herb and vegetable plots, and tranquil meadows.

Adding to its allure, the gardens are home to the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, where students actively participate in the design and maintenance of the grounds. Their contributions include over 80,000 annual plants and 150 student-designed hanging baskets, reflecting a blend of educational excellence and horticultural artistry.

Adjacent to the gardens is the Butterfly Conservatory, a tropical oasis housing over 2,000 free-flying butterflies from more than 45 species. This enchanting attraction offers an immersive experience into the world of butterflies, complementing the botanical beauty of the gardens.
