The focus will be learning about what roses are hardy in our climate as well as a bit on more tender varieties, such as David Austins and tea roses. Judith Cox will also cover pests and diseases, propagation and winter protection.
Annual Seed Exchange – This is an opportunity for members to bring in seed from your gardens to share with other members. Please label the packages with name, height, light conditions etc.
After working for years as a gardener, Judith now works as a garden consultant during the growing season and volunteers at Master Gardener advice clinics at local farmer’s markets. As of 2020 she became president of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society. In the winter she gives lectures on a variety of gardening subjects at local horticultural societies and writes for local magazines and publications and a monthly column called Veggie Bites to encourage gardeners everywhere. She also has a small business selling my watercolour/pen and ink cards which feature flowers from her garden at www.lapisdragonarts.com.
