Nikko Botanical Garden

This garden, popularly known as “Nikko Botanical Garden”, is a branch of the Botanical Garden attached to the Graduate School of Science, the University of Tokyo (commonly known as “Koishikawa Botanical Garden” ). The garden has a collection of species that grow in Japan’s alpine and temperate to subarctic regions, as well as foreign species closely related to them. Approximately 130 species of fern, 70 species of gymnosperms, and 2,000 species of angiosperms (approximately 1,750 dicotyledonous species and 250 monocotyledonous species) grow here, including those that grow naturally.
