Winter seed sowing workshop for your pollinator/wildlife garden

Join the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library for this workshop at the Ottawa Public Library – Elmvale Acres branch! The workshop will take place in the Meeting Room.
Welcome to Session 3 of the “Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library (OWSL) Presents…5-part workshop series! Come get your hands dirty and your spirits lifted as we learn how to grow native plants from seeds. Unlike vegetable gardens, native plant seeds love to spend the winter outside sleeping under a blanket of snow, and many will start to sprout before the snow has all melted away in March/April. Bring your project site plan if you have one. All materials will be provided for you to take home – including a starter pot or two, soil and a selection of native seeds.
