Description of this lecture: We like to think that our garden is immune to the sorts of pests we see in gardening magazines. But is that reality and what should we do when we encounter a pest?

Back by popular demand! Every year the Friends of the Central Experimental Farm (FCEF) partner with the Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton (MGOC) to offer timely and informative presentations.

The theme of the 2024 lecture series is Garden Friends and Foes.

Lectures are delivered via Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will be recorded for subsequent viewing by all who register.

This year, there are five lectures running from March 19 through to May 14, 2024

Nancy McDonald, Master Gardener

Nancy McDonald has been a Master Gardener volunteer with the Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton for 14 years and calls her garden “a happy place.” She enjoys checking out the many garden “bugs” who visit and asking whether they are friend or foe.
