Event Details

Join us for a hands-on session with Master Gardener Lee Boltwood, who will demonstrate the basics of good pruning practice, from tools and sanitation, to techniques for felling a mature tree. Lee Boltwood is an original member of the Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton, an experienced, practical gardener, and is a past-president of the Stittsville-Goulbourn Horticultural Society. Lee is so widely recognized as a lynch-pin of the local horticultural scene that, in 2022, then-Mayor Jim Watson dedicated a new park in Stittsville as the Lee Boltwood Park.

Presentation starts at 7:30 pm, in-person and on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/@ottawahorticulturalsociety4396

Before the presentation:
7:00 – 7:30: Seed Swap, Tea & Cookies, regional school science fair winners of OHS awards will have their projects for viewing

Seed Swap: Bring your extra seeds — vegetables, herbs, perennials, annuals, any plants! Please have them already packaged in small packets, containers, envelopes, or baggies. Come and browse the selection to find something new and exciting to grow in your garden this year. You don’t have to bring something to take something home.
