Ottawa African Violet Society Meeting

African Violets belong to a large plant family called ‘Gesneriads’ and, therefore, are related to many other plants. At our March virtual meeting, James Dean Parise, of the Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad Society and the Ottawa African Violet Society, will give a presentation on Sinningias, with a focus on micros sinningias, the smallest members of this related plant family.

The presentation will provide guidance on:
– growing these tiny plants from seed to flower
– lighting LEDs; what brands work, what to avoid
– pest control for Canadian growers
