Event Details

Evidence of climate change is all around us. Anna will explore how carbon is stored and how climate-changing gases are released into our atmosphere. She will then suggest how we can reduce our own carbon footprint and offer some plants to cope with a changing climate.

Anna Leggatt

Anna has, among many qualifications, a B.Sc. Botany from London University; she taught Botany and Chemistry and worked for 30 years at the Kortright Centre for Conservation
A Toronto Master Gardener, she belongs to other Rock Garden Societies in different countries and other horticultural and nature groups. These include Local Hort. Societies, Hardy Plant Societies, Greater Toronto Bulb Society.

She won the NARGS Marvin Black Award in 2017, a Silver Award from GARDENCOMM in 2016, NARGS Chapter Service Award 2024, Volunteer Awards from Province of Ontario for East York and TMG,and prizes for photography.
