This tour will introduce perennial garden design, care, and, of course, perennials, the plants that keep on going! The Farm has featured perennials gardens since its earliest times. The present-day borders, established in 1970, continue to provide a broad overview of native and non-native perennial plants that grow well in Ottawa gardens. Visitors will see many plants at their full maturity and appreciate the beauty of perennial combinations. The gardens show a mix perennials of different bloom and foliage types and flowering periods for an ever-changing garden spectacle that returns year after year.
