Create a Woodland Garden with Native Plants

About This Event

Learning how to plant a woodland garden is easy and rewarding. Why not transform your patch of shade into a cool and tranquil garden oasis using native plants? This workshop will get you started. It’s a great way to celebrate our natural woodland heritage and provide a refuge for wildlife as well!

This is a virtual presentation. We do not record our free webinars since we like to encourage chat sharing and and Q & A participation.

Presenter

Jeanne McRight founded Mississauga’s award-winning not-for-profit organization Blooming Boulevards in 2019 and is currently busy as its President and Board Chair. In 2015 she initiated an amendment to Mississauga’s Encroachment By-Law, allowing residents to create habitat gardens that support declining insect populations on city boulevards. Her popular webinars on native plant habitat gardening topics reach a world-wide audience. Conservation gardening is Jeanne’s joy and passion, but more than that, she is a deeply committed advocate for environmentally sustainable horticultural practices.
