CHS September Meeting “SEED SAVING FOR ALL”
About This Event
You can count the number of seeds in a tomato, but you can never count the number of tomatoes in a seed.”
Would you like to learn how to grow, harvest, and save your own vegetable, herb, and flower seeds? Join us for a Seed Saving talk with Jill Bishop, who will introduce the basics of seed saving and explore why this rewarding practice is an important addition to your gardening repertoire. Learn how saving locally adapted seeds can help grow resilient crops and support abundance in our gardens as our climate changes.
Jill Bishop is the owner of ‘urbantomato’, located in Peterborough, Ontario. Her urban farm grows and offers a carefully curated collection of heirlooms seeds. Jill is dedicated to growing a local supply of heirloom seeds, supporting community seed saving, and sharing her seed saving knowledge to enhance seed sovereignty. Come out and gain the information you need to grow and save your very own seeds.
