Back to Basics - And Beyond! (2026 Workshop Series)

Whether you’re hoping to plant your very first garden or are looking to reconnect with your existing home landscape in a more thoughtful, sustainable way, this interactive workshop series will guide you step-by-step—helping take your gardens, both new and established, from boring to beautiful. Learn what to plant to meet your gardening goals, whether that might be colourful garden beds with native plants that will welcome pollinators, creating pleasing spaces in which to relax or growing fresh food for the table.

For the Love of Food: Apples to (hardy) Oranges... with a Side of Veggies

This workshop will help you think about how you can grow your own food 2027. You will learn great places to get seeds (some for free!) and learn about the best varieties to grow in our Grand Erie Regional soils and climate! Like planning a tasty meal, growing your own food requires advance planning and sourcing the best seeds and plants to deliver the delectable results.

You’ll learn:

  • Where to find great Seed Sources and Catalogues – and when to order!
  • How and when to start plants indoors
  • How to spice things up: incorporating herbs in the garden
  • The challenges and rewards of growing fruit trees
  • Some of our Master Gardeners best recipes!
