Greg Charleton is a multidisciplinary visual artist who concentrates on themes involving time, place and change through drawing, painting and site specific sculptural installation. His artwork weaves the past into the present by referencing communities and art history sources. He also utilizes representations of North American architecture and infrastructure such as gardens heritage parks and their communities and histories.During Greg’s residency, he plans to combine graphite, charcoal and watercolour to create several landscape drawings and paintings of the Fredericton Botanic Garden while being inspired by art history. He will also highlight the resiliency of the trees in the garden through a metaphorical lens while using a combination of linear and atmospheric perspectives.
