This tour will look at the experiences of day-to-day City Forestry work. This can include tree maintenance questions, problems caused by planting the wrong tree in a given site, and foundation issues caused by trees. Of course, trees provide many benefits in the urban landscape, and they also face a lot of unique challenges. We’ll also touch on some of Ottawa’s efforts to preserve, grow, and improve the urban canopy.
