Your Garden Your Superpower: How Gardeners Can Help Fight Climate Change.

Claudette is a longtime member of Master Gardeners of Ontario, served as President for six years and has been a familiar voice in gardening circles, including as a panelist and lead on CBC Radio’s online garden chat. She even had the thrilling (and slightly nerve-wracking!) experience of filling in for Ed Lawrence on air. She has also been the editor of the monthly Halton Master Gardener newsletter for 20 years, where she publishes a popular, biodiversity friendly garden “to-do” list.

Betty lives in Carp Ontario. Before her retirement, she worked in international development with a focus on African development, gender relations and civil society organizations. She was Overseas Director of CUSO, CEO of the Canadian Council for International Co-operation, and participated in the creation of Partnership Africa Canada, the Voluntary Sector Roundtable and the McLeod Group. Her experience in the voluntary sector includes serving on boards, editing a journal, and writing on many aspects of sector work
