Michael Shand is one of Canada’s most respected keyboardists, with more than 30 years of international performance experience. A graduate of York University’s jazz program and recipient of the Oscar Peterson Scholarship Award, Michael has worked with an impressive roster of artists, including Johnny Reid, Molly Johnson, Jully Black, Matt Dusk, Natalie MacMaster, Kardinal Offishall, and many more.
Michael is a Gemini Award winner, a Grammy-nominated songwriter, and a Canadian Platinum Award recipient whose versatile style spans jazz, soul, R&B, pop, rock, and hip-hop.

This concert is part of the Edwards Summer Music Series, which showcases diverse, contemporary talent set within the natural beauty of the garden. Enjoy eight FREE outdoor concerts in the Garden on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. in July and August. General seating is available on a first-come basis. Guests can also bring their own chairs. Concerts are held rain or shine.
