CHS June Meeting: Working in Natives

CHS June Meeting: Working in Natives

About This Event

Cannington Horticultural Society invites you. Join us as Katherine Mathewson, Head of the Design Program of Native Plants in Claremont, explores the design process of incorporating native plants into your gardens with her presentation ‘Working in Natives’.
A member of the Durham Master Gardeners, Katherine brings her background in film and theater design to her passion for gardening. She will discuss the elements of design, formal versus natural styles, composition, bloom time, and winter interest. Additionally, she will cover practical considerations such as watering, weeding, and selecting the right native plants for specific locations.
We look forward to Katherine’s perspective on discovering and using native plants to create a beautiful garden for your own space.
June Flower and Photography Show will also be presented the same evening. Entries to the Flower Show to be placed prior to 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.
All welcome – bring a friend and see what CHS is doing!
