Event Details

Believe it or not, daytime temperatures will soon be rising, and ticks will once again become more active; and with active ticks comes the risk of being bitten and contracting Lyme Disease. The Perth and District Horticultural Society welcomes Myrna Lee to our General Meeting on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 pm to discuss treatments for this increasingly prevalent disease.

Myrna Lee became involved in the Lyme Disease issue when her daughter was diagnosed outside of the country with it after suffering for 12 years. With her background in Research, Technology and Education, Myrna used her skills to acquire ALL her daughter’s treatment in Canada, something that very few people have achieved. Myrna continues to advocate for appropriate testing, diagnosis and treatment for people living with Lyme Disease across Canada.

We need to learn all we can regarding the contracting of Lyme disease. Myrna will present information on the tick, the Lyme bacteria and the medical issues surrounding the disease.

Plan to attend the PDHS meeting for this very important and timely presentation by Myrna Lee on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 pm at St Paul’s United Church, 25 Gore Street West in Perth. Please use the Darcy Street side entrance to access the basement meeting room.

All are welcome to join us for our General Meetings; visitors pay $3 while a year’s membership is only $15. We look forward to seeing you there.
