Event Details

Laurie Fagan will speak on her favourite flower, dahlias, digging deep into what is a dahlia tuber, planting, fertilizing, disbudding, diseases, digging up and winter storage. A great chance to learn from an expert how to successfully grow this plant of many, many blooms.

Bio:  Laurie has been gardening for over 40 years with many successes and valuable failures over the years.  A dozen years ago, she followed a passion and concentrated on dahlias. She now grows over 350 plants at her home, cottage and rented farm space. She also co-founded and is president of the Champlain Park Garden Club.
