2021 September Mini Show Schedule

DIVISION I: Preserves

SECTION A: Jellies, Jams & Marmalades

Class 1. Jam, any fruit/vegetable or combination

Class 2. Compote, any fruit or combination

Class 3. Jelly, any fruit or combination


SECTION B: Pickles, Relish/Chow-Chow & Salsa

Class 4. Pickles, any form or flavour

Class 5. Relish/Chow-Chow – any flavour

Class 6. Salsa


DIVISION II: Horticulture – Cut Flowers

Class 7. 1 Stem of an annual flower

Class 8. 1 Stem of a perennial flower

Class 9. 1 Stem of any other flower (from tuber or bulb) e.g.

Dahlia, Canna


DIVISION III: Decorative – “Seasonal Beauty”

Class 10. Fall Splendour – A Parallel Design no more than 30

inches in height or width, featuring White Birch – stem or bark and


Class 11. Fall Treasure – A Fairy Dish Garden in a container under

14” diameter with moss, bark, toadstools and miniature accessories

to complement

Class 12. Welcoming Wreath – A Halloween themed wreath for a

door decoration using natural vine material as the base and

accompanied with a message note (Witch’s TO DO LIST)


Rules for GHS Flower Shows

A. Judging will follow Ontario Judging and Exhibiting

Standards (OJES/2019) for all shows.

B. Exhibitors must be a member of the GHS

C. A member may enter one entry in each class.

D. All exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor except in the

decorative classes where materials may be obtained from any


E. An entry will not necessarily be awarded a prize if judged

below standard.

F. The decision of the judge is final. Any inquiries should be

directed to the Show Chair.
