Event Details

African Violets have long been used in dish garden design at our shows. Achieving a successful design requires knowledge of proportion and scale. At our February meeting, Diane Pagé and Pierre Laforest, two of our experienced growers and designers, will be giving a demonstration on how to achieve proper height and proportion of plants in dish garden design. This is a follow-up to their presentation last year. Come on out and learn something new. Guests and visitors are always welcome. At our meetings, we also hold plant and leaf exchanges. There is a monthly raffle, and members can buy plant supplies and borrow reference materials from our loaning library. Coffee, tea and light refreshments are served. Please bring a twoonie to help us with our expenses. If you can bring your own mug it will help us protect the environment too.

Our Society meets at the McNabb Community Centre, 180 Percy St., Ottawa. Social time is 1:30-2:00 and the meeting is from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
